This takes me to the end of my research. I hope this has been a helpful series. Even if you’re not thinking about using a pen name, now, tuck the information away for a future time.
Make certain you have your pen name set up correctly in KDP.
- Go to the Kindle Direct Publishing website.
- Select a book already uploaded to your account or start the process of adding a new book.
- Enter your pen name in the Author Name fields.
- Press “Save and Continue” and finish publishing your book to KDP.
Because your KDP author account is under your legal name, Amazon knows you’re the true owner of your book and will make payments to the name listed on your account, NOT your pen name.
You will also be taxed via your KDP account with your legal name.
